At CPIFT, evaluation will be a continuous process. It will be a process to understand the strength and weakness of a student for continuous improvement. For all the courses, evaluation will be qualitative rather than quantitative. For theory courses, marks will be awarded, while for practical exercise the markes will be supported by qualitative analysis of the project.
The aggregate assessment of a student will be done at the end of every semester. If any student's performance is found below average he/she will be asked to withdraw from the programme or repeat the programme. The decision of the evaluating jury will be final and binding on all the students.
The programme assessment will be based on the following:
Attendance in classes, lectures, participation in activities, workshops, seminars and prescribed curricula
Professional attitude including working as a member and also leader of the team
Assignment of various exercises given from time to time
The final project
The report of internship
Course evaluation
The structure of the evaluation system will be based on norms setup by Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University from time to time.
Faculty development - It is the backbone of retaining the culture of the Institute. The faculty development is very much linked with faculty evaluation and course evaluation done by the students. It is also essential that faculty should be working professionals so that they are in the know of aesthetic and technical trends of the entertainment industry.
