An actor is a person who is multi-faceted yet can subsume himself / herself to get under the skin and essence of the character that is to be portrayed. In order to help the academics who wish to pursue this course for a career, CPIFT, has chalked a syllabus that widens the students' horizons and enriches them an individuals and also equips them to face a lifetime in lime light.

Master's Degree from CPIFT for all seven disciplines (Direction, Cinematography, Audiography, Scriptwriting, Editing, Production Design & Production Management) is a two-year course designed to include a six-month foundation course which is an integrated programme of various courses in film making and television production. Subsequent to the foundation programme, a one-year course will be devoted to specialisation in the respective field chosen by the student. Each and every specialised course will be followed by three-months of group projects culminating in making an individual portfolio. After doing the group projects, a student undertakes a two month internship in a TV or Film studio.
