A script or screenplay is a written blueprint for the film, creating an environment where the action occurs. Script writers need to be able to breathe flesh and blood into their characters as the story unfolds on paper. They also need the power of imagination and visualisation, backed by a strong knowledge of various subjects.

The course delves on theme, visualisation, structure, dialogue and characterisation, creative writing, story board writing, imparting training through workshops, analysis, critiques etc. Students are encouraged to work on all kinds of scripts; eventually leading to a final script for the completion of the course. Business aspects like marketing and intellectual property rights are also covered.
